Can you tell Cross Culture are a metal band? Thought so. I went with the if-it-ain’t-broke formula for heavy metal graphics this time. White on black? Check. Blackletter typeface? Check. Religious/pagan reference? Check.
These guys have got everything going for them (good name, good influences) so I better not let them down on the logo front. I couldn’t resist adding the twist to the “O”. Otherwise it’d be boring right?
The name Bad medicine has obvious Bon Jovi connotations which may or may not be intended. The previous logo had similarities with the Caduceus which also featured on a few versions of the Bad Medicine cover too…….Aaaaannnyway, I thought I’d take a different tack and go for something with a little more character (think Iron Maiden’s Eddie). It feels like I’ve seen it somewhere before but I cant put my finger on it so I’m going with it.
Gabe does acoustic pop but it’s influenced by the likes of Fall Out Boy and Panic at the Disco so this logo has to convey a bit of energy. How about a couple hundred million volts of lightning then?
I just got back from Egypt and I’m feeling inspired. I tried not to go overboard with the ancient references here since these guys are a classic rock band, but if that modern typeface looks like its been chiselled just a bit, and you see a code of another kind in there, you might be right.
Laura sings Tejano music. I can’t say I am familiar with it but a cursory search tells me Its a Tex Mex thing so I’ve thrown together a bit of Americana.
I don’t know much about v3. They’re a rock band. Thats all I know.
“PATHIK is one of the most commercially successful and influential rock music groups of al time in NCR. Also, the band is well known for being one of the few contemporary Indian music bands to have fused Hindi musical vocals with modern pop music.”
So, there you have it.
It means traveller, so yeah it kinda looks like an arrow, and yeah it kinda looks like a luggage tag.
Is this supposed to be some kind of Jules Verne reference? I don’t know but the music sounds like Jeff Buckley so I’m going for a classic literary look.
If you’re playing gospel rock you expect the logo to have some sort of spiritual element to it right? But then, you dont need to go overboard with it either, you know, we GET it. Its a fine line but I think I got it.
